摘要: Abstract Fire statistics derived from the US National fire Incident Reporting System for apartment fires during 1993 are analysed. The aim is to determine characteristics that result in greatest risk of casualties, as well personal put occupants at risk. Modern statistical tools, namely Generalized Linear Models together with Analysis Deviance, used identify and quantify effect most significant fire-related factors factors. Four types measures danger considered. factor categories identified having are: • extent damage, area origin, type material ignited ignition factor. condition preventing escape, before injury, activity time location cause injury. Extension proposed methodology other buildings, periods countries can be expected make an important contribution development effective strategies ensuring building safety.
