摘要: Micropapillary urothelial carcinoma exhibits amplification of the human epidermal growth factor receptor, ERBB2(HER2), and overexpression ERBB2 protein product. The clinical significance this has yet to be established. objective study was examine expression in micropapillary stage-matched typical treated by radical cystectomy assess frequency expression, determine association with cancer-specific survival. Pathologic material data from patients undergoing at Mayo Clinic between 1980 2008 were reviewed. fluorescence situ hybridization (FISH) immunohistochemistry assessed. Univariate multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression models used evaluate for associations identified 9 (15%) 61 carcinomas compared (9%) 100 carcinomas. In carcinoma, associated a nearly threefold increased risk cancer death. (hazard ratio 4.3; P=0.0008) remained an death bladder among on analysis. survival not seen carcinoma. correlated but there no is more frequent than who have worse those do not. Identification could provide important prognostic information possibly role targeted therapy.
