摘要: P>Background Long-chain n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) have immune regulating and anti-inflammatory effects. However, their role in allergic disease is unclear. Allergic diseases are immunologically heterogeneous, we hypothesized that acid composition serum breast milk may vary according to clinical manifestations. Further, animal studies shown reduction of serum-PUFA levels during inflammation. Objective To investigate from women with different atopic Secondly, determine whether low PUFA reflected insufficient intakes. Methods Fatty were analysed eczema respiratory allergy (n=16), only (n=7), as well healthy (n=22). Dietary intake foods expected affect long-chain estimated by food-frequency questionnaire. The pattern was related diagnostic group relevant food items using a multivariate recognition method (partial least squares projections latent structures discriminant analysis). Results Women combination had lower several PUFAs (arachidonic acid, eicosapentaenoic EPA, docosahexaenoic DHA, docosapentaenoic DPA), ratio PUFAs/n-6 PUFAs. Their differed not women, but also allergy. latter similar women. Despite DHA DPA consumed no less fish than did Conclusion & Clinical Relevance Our data suggest reduced characterize extensive including eczema, intake. Consumption the process explain these findings.
