摘要: Introduction: Sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) and calcium hydroxide (Ca[OH]2) have tissue dissolution capacity. The aim of this study was to evaluate the potential effect dentin on their capacity in a novel model. Methods: Dentin models were prepared from 25 freshly extracted human molar teeth; crowns separated roots, rectangular inner shape prepared. Pulp samples adjusted similar weights 6.5 0.2 mg randomly divided into 6 groups: NaOCl groups test tubes or for 1 hour, Ca(OH)2 week, control saline week. final after experimental period checked compared with initial weights. differences statistically analyzed. Results: affected by presence dentin. Similarly, lost its pulp incubation Comparison between all showed highly significant (P < .001). Conclusions: has detrimental ability dissolve tissue. model appears be an efficient tool interactions local endodontic medicaments, dentin, (J Endod 2013;39:980‐983)
