摘要: The adult fish brain undergoes continuous neurogenesis and retains the capacity to regenerate. However, cellular molecular basis of this process is not well understood. We report on cloning characterization a Brain-1-related, class III POU domain gene, tai-ji, in developing zebrafish, as human cell line, hNT2. During development, differentiation occurs, expression tai-ji downregulated notochord, muscle, nervous system dorsal fin. Similarly, expressed neuronal precursor cell, hNT2, but upon with retinoic acid. In zebrafish system, persists germinal zones, including cells zone retina, basal olfactory epithelium subependymal zones optic tectum telencephalon. Subsets tai-ji-expressing these regions incorporate BrdU. Most within are differentiated do express marker for post-mitotic neurons, acetylated tubulin nor they glial cells, acidic fibrillary protein (GFAP). propose that majority neural stem or progenitor populations may represent growth system.
