摘要: OBJECTIVE The aim of the present study was to measure dehydroepiandrosterone-sulphate (DHEA-S) levels in obesity and assess relationships between DHEA-S anthropometric, metabolic hormonal variables. SUBJECTS AND METHODS We evaluated serum 217 obese but otherwise normal female subjects (age (mean ± SEM): 39.4 ± 0.9, range 18–67 years, body mass index (BMI) = 36.1 ± 0.4, 27.1–57.1 kg/m2). RESULTS DHEA-S showed an age-dependent fall similar that observed women (n = 156, age 46.2 ± 1.2, 22–69 BMI < 25 kg/m2). Adjusting for age, had mean higher than control group (P < 0.02). In patients, were directly associated with testosterone, androstendione, IGF-I, fT3 24 h-urinary cortisol. On other hand, negatively total cholesterol, triglycerides systolic blood pressure. No correlation found BMI, waist:hip ratio, basal post-OGTT insulin glucose, free fatty acids, GH, PRL, fT4, TSH, SHBG or diastolic Multiple regression analysis indicated women, positively androstendione IGF-I daily urinary a subgroup 20 significantly (P < 0.001) fell after OGTT without any response. CONCLUSIONS The results show are not reduced obesity, being slightly increased, particularly young adulthood. Dehydroepiandrosterone-sulphate independently androgen, 24-h cortisol do seem cardiovascular risk indices.
