Frequent expression of genes for receptor tyrosine kinases and their ligands in human pancreatic cancer cells

摘要: Limited information is available concerning the involvement of growth factor receptors and their ligands in pathogenesis human pancreatic cancer. We analyzed 12 cancer cell lines by Northern blot analysis for expression 9 receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) 6 factors. The effect a monoclonal antibody (MAb) against transforming factor-α (TGF-α) on vitro was also assessed. mRNA EGF-R, c-erbB-2 c-erbB-3 expressed (100%), 7 (58%), respectively, examined. In addition, 8 (67%) c-met/receptor hepatocyte factor. As ligands, TGF-α detected 10 (83%) lines; MAb inhibited 2 Furthermore, amphiregulin (AR) lines.
