摘要: Proteolytic processing of transmembrane receptors and ligands can have a dramatic impact on cell signaling processes subsequent cellular responses, including activation differentiation. A member the disintegrin metalloproteinase family, ADAM10, has emerged as prominent regulator numerous ligands, Notch CD23. Here, we review studies resulting from recent generation ADAM10 conditional knockout mice which revealed critical role for in Notch-dependent lymphocyte development. Additionally, discuss results vitro ex vivo indicating that regulates production multiple secreted factors contribute to autoimmune reactions.
