Mental Symptoms in Different Health Professionals During the SARS Attack: A Follow-up Study

摘要: Aim The aims of the study were to assess psychological impact SARS bio-disaster on healthcare workers. Methods participants 127 workers who had taken care suspected patients. All completed Chinese Health Questionnaire (CHQ), Eysenck Personality Questionnaire, and Parental Bonding Instrument at first stage CHQ again a year later. Results Healthcare that mental symptoms follow-up reported associated with daily-life stress not crisis. physicians more somatic than nurses, suggesting different professions have health. Additionally, individual’s early maternal attachment neuroticism found greater effect health life-threatening stress. Conclusions Life-threatening show two patterns influence These results provided preclinical model for understanding, preventing, human stress-related psychiatric disorders in future.
