摘要: Abstract Purpose: The present study was aimed to evaluate the retinoprotective effects of Moringa oleifera (MO) in Streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. Methods: continued for 24 weeks and evaluated inflammatory (tumor necrosis factor [TNF]-α interleukin [IL]-1β, angiogenic (vascular endothelial growth [VEGF] protein kinase C [PKC]-β) antioxidant (Glutathione, Superoxide dismutase, Catalase) parameters. Retinal leakage checked by Fluorescein angiography (FA) fundus photographs were retinal vessel caliber (arteriolar venular). Transmission electron microscopy done determine basement membrane (BM) thickness. Results: results showed potential hypoglycemic MO.
