摘要: Abstract This research study investigates the effects of large-scale installation domestic heat pumps on UK electricity supply over short to medium term. A BREDEM-based dwelling energy model, incorporating a model pump performance, is enhanced for varying monthly temperatures. Data from English Housing Survey (2007) are analysed using this estimate consumption 2020 and 2050, simulate scenarios replacing existing heating systems by ground or air source pumps. The type (ground source) determined plot dimensions data EHS. Modelling results showed that policy with highest emissions could reduce at least minimise increase in carbon emissions. Results 2050 replacement some 80% current gas-fired would enable meet its target reduction sector when accompanied simultaneous decarbonisation supply. These provide support government's subsidizing installations through Renewable Heat Incentive payments while indicating meeting emission targets requires far greater adoption these than ambitions.
