摘要: The authors previously reported the results of an investigation into potential inoculation to promote resistance smoking onset in young adolescents. Inoculation videos were administered 1,047 adolescents a midwestern city. Results for first year indicated that promotes initiation but only among low self-esteem. This report follows up first-year effort assess permanence initial effects. during second revealed main effects on attitudes, suggesting modest persistence pretreatments, and weak interaction effect fall, which dissipated by spring. In addition, pattern suggests if approaches are have chance success prevention they must target at point transition from primary (elementary) secondary (middle or junior high) school. Beyond this pivotal juncture, adolescents’attitudes opposing quickly deteriorate, therefore rendering paradigm inappropriate.
