摘要: BACKGROUND: Beech and oak pollen are potential allergen sources with a world-wide distribution. OBJECTIVE: We aimed to characterize the profile of beech study cross-reactivities birch grass allergens. METHODS: Sera from tree pollen-allergic patients evidence for sensitization Basel, Switzerland, (n=23) sera Vienna, Austria, (n=26) were compared in immunoblot experiments IgE reactivity (Betula pendula syn. verrucosa), (Fagus sylvatica) (Quercus alba) Subsequently, allergens characterized by inhibition purified recombinant natural allergen-specific antibody probes. Birch-, beech- pollen-specific levels determined ELISA. RESULTS: contain that cross-react Bet v 1, 2 4 berberine bridge enzyme-like Phl p timothy pollen. Swiss Austrian exhibited similar profiles birch, extracts. lower than those CONCLUSION: is mainly due cross-reactivity allergens, 4-like molecule represented another predominant IgE-reactive structure The characterization their important diagnosis treatment allergy.
