摘要: To identify virological and immunological correlates of microbial-specific immune reconstitution in children with advanced human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, Candida- tetanus-specific lymphocyte proliferation was measured 165 initiating a new highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) regimen. During the study, proportions immunity to Candida tetanus increased from 53% 66% 19% 22%, respectively. Tetanus associated an HIV load < or =400 RNA copies/mL immunity. At end 23% patients baseline negative had immunity, 65% Reconstitution correlated lower end-of-study loads activated CD8+ cell percentages higher in-study CD4+ percentages, but not gain cells. showed similar trends. In conclusion, infection receiving HAART reconstituted more readily than they did suggesting role for antigen reexposure. Additional factors were low load, high levels
