摘要: Question: What is a genetically engineered animal? Answer: A or “transgenic” animal an that carries known sequence of recombinant DNA in its cells, and which passes onto offspring. Recombinant refers to fragments have been joined together laboratory. The resultant “construct” usually designed express the protein(s) are encoded by gene(s) included construct, when present genome transgenic animal. Because genetic code for all organisms made up same four deoxynucleotide building blocks, this means gene makes protein whether it animal, plant, microbe.
