摘要: The hypothalamus is an important center for coordinating mammalian physiology and maintenance of homeostasis. Accordingly, the regulates feeding, body temperature, energy expenditure, glucose metabolism, thirst, blood pressure, reproductive axis, other metabolic functions associated with overall metabolism. At central level, primary component nervous system in interpreting adiposity nutrient-related inputs; it delivers hormonal behavioral responses ultimate purpose regulating weight, food intake, consumption (Williams et al. 2001; Wardlaw 2011; Toorie Nillni 2014). Among inputs that feed into hypothalamic circuitries are adipose tissue-derived hormone leptin adiponectin, pancreatic insulin, several hormones secreted by gastrointestinal tract, such as ghrelin. activity feeding centers also responsive to basic nutrients including glucose, amino acids, fatty acids besides metabolites, ketone bodies. Much like acting at organismal level regulate homeostasis integrating nutritional signals, there evolutionarily conserved proteins protein complexes act cellular “nutrient sensors” couple energetics downstream pathways various functions. these nutrient sensors key plays a major role regulation balance
