摘要: Abstract Plant essential oils are mixture of bioactive compounds that useful to humankind as therapeutics and preservatives. Present report describes the determination chemical composition Anisomeles indica Kuntze leaf oil exploration its biological properties. Farnesyl acetone, nootkatone jasmatone were major components 17 constituents identified in A. by GC–MS analysis. Essential was evaluated for antioxidant, fungitoxic, anti-aflatoxigenic cytotoxic exhibited strong antioxidant potential, with IC50 value 9.86 μL/mL. Fungitoxicity activity against Aspergillus flavus isolated from cereals pulses, minimum inhibitory concentration determined 0.66 μL/mL. inhibited AFB1 production completely at 0.6 μL/mL G1 strain partially G2 strains flavus. Cytotoxicity examined four human cancer cell lines HEK-293, HepG2, A549, K562 MTT assay. proliferation all significantly stronger cytotoxicity HepG2 cells. Results confirmed functional characters inidica special merits possessing aflatoxin suppression cytotoxicity. The potential a cheaper source active ingredients food pharmaceutical industry demonstrated.
