摘要: A sensitive technic using indium111 chloride was devised to investigate the occurrence of pharyngeal aspiration. Twenty normal subjects and 10 patients with depressed consciousness were studied. Forty-five per cent aspirated during deep sleep. Normal who did not aspirate noted sleep poorly. Seventy aspirated. Aspiration secretions occurs frequently in sensorium also adults Bacterial pneumonia may result when bacteria are effectively cleared. This clearance mechanisms impaired or they overwhelmed by large volumes secretions.
