摘要: Research into the diagnosis and treatment of central nervous system (CNS) diseases has been enhanced by rapid advances in nanotechnology an expansion library nanostructured carriers. This review discusses latest applications nanomaterials CNS with emphasis on brain tumors. Novel administration routes transport mechanisms for nanomaterial-mediated delivery diagnostic therapeutic agents to bypass or cross blood barrier (BBB) are also discussed. These include temporary disruption BBB, use impregnated polymers (polymer wafers), convection-enhanced (CED), intranasal delivery. Moreover, vitro BBB model capable mimicking geometrical, cellular rheological features human cerebrovasculature developed. is a useful tool that can be used screening nanoparticles therapeutics prior vivo clinical investigation. A discussion this novel included.
