摘要: Engineered nanomaterials are emerging functional materials with technologically interesting properties and a wide range of promising applications, such as drug delivery devices, medical imaging diagnostics, various other industrial products. However, concerns have been expressed about the risks whether they can cause adverse effects. Studies potential hazards widely performed using cell models in vitro approaches. In present review, we provide comprehensive critical literature overview on current toxicity test methods that applied to determine mechanisms underlying cytotoxic effects induced by nanostructures. The small size, surface charge, hydrophobicity high adsorption capacity nanomaterial allow for specific interactions within membrane subcellular organelles, which turn could lead cytotoxicity through different mechanisms. Finally, aggregating given information relationships responses an understanding its structure physicochemical may promote design biologically safe
