Development of a non-uniform-current model for predicting transient thermal behavior of thermoelectric coolers

摘要: Abstract In this study, numerical simulation of transient thermal behavior thermoelectric coolers is attempted based on a non-uniform-current model. the present model, cooler divided into seven blocks, including aluminum plates, ceramic and P-type N-type elements. Numerical solution for three-dimensional distributions electric voltage current vectors in are firstly obtained. The obtained distribution introduced energy equation solutions coolers. A parametric study performed to investigate effects influential parameters applied current, heat transfer coefficient plate hot end, surfaces elements, height cooling load per unit area. To verify predictions, experimental data have been presented variation temperatures both cold ends. It observed that predictions closely agree with temperature data.
