摘要: The ELISA test, using excretory-secretory antigen from larvae II of Toxocara canis, was applied on 1018 sera (793 adults and 225 pediatrics) distributed in: A) patients with an hypereosinophilia where the ethiological agent undetermined (99); B) ocular complaints compatible toxocariasis (116); C) hidatidosis (97); D) patient other non-toxocaral helminthiasis (34); E) clinical features (468) F) healthy donors (204). Over 3,6 % showed elevated levels antibodies reacting T. canis antigen. prevalence seropositivity statistically higher in eosinophilia (14,1%) (α α > 0,01) than control group (1%). In overall pediatrics did not differ that adults.
