摘要: Two hydroxyapatite ceramics, synthesized by sintering from bovine bone and a mixture of phosphate tricalcium natural hydroxyapatite, were implanted in sites rabbits. From day 7 after implantation, osteoblast-like cells visible with thin layers new on both biomaterials. Histomorphometry showed progressive increase volume surface newly formed bone. Signs cell-dependent resorption at the biomaterials There was decrease relative trabecular thickness Resorption appears to involve two cell types: multinucleated giant osteoclast-like cells. The observed had neither tartrate resistant acid phosphatase activity (TRAP) nor ruffled border. Vesicles vacuoles containing crystals these suggest phagocytosis number decreased 14 following implantation. TRAP positive. structured modification demonstrated subjacent biomaterial that dissolution implant may be associated an extracellular enzymatic Electron microscopy revealed clear zone cytoplasmic membrane infolding cells, suggesting border differentiation. increased delay It concluded implantation calcium ceramics leads formation as well mechanism associate crystal endocytosis more classical
