摘要: Objective: to evaluate the correlation between serum ferritin and cardiovascular risk markers with time of self-reported physical activity sedentary life style in apparently healthy men. Methods: we included 69 men from three private public companies metropolitan area Cali, Colombia, aged 25 64. The short version International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) was applied, were grouped four categories activity: 1. Minutes intense (IFA)/week. 2. moderate (MFA)/week. 3. walk/week. 4. sitting/day. Cardiovascular defined based on criteria ATP-III Diabetes Federation. Results: positive correlations found subjects who more activities according IPAQ category (average minutes sitting/day) anthropometric indicators: percentage body fat (rho = 0.249, p <0.05), mass index 0.268, <0.05) waist circumference 0.266, <0.05). This same behavior observed biochemical variables: 0.247, triglycerides 0.258, insulin 0.284, HOMA 0.261). Also, lower levels HDL-C evidenced =- 0.279, P Conclusions: (minutes sitting/week) reported by correlated positively as well resistance markers. iron deposits estimated ferritin, when related lifestyle parameters, behave a potential marker risk.
