摘要: Background and Purpose—Previous studies have indicated that both methamphetamine (MA) ischemia/reperfusion injuries involve reactive oxygen species formation activation of apoptotic mechanism. That MA could a synergistic or additive effect with stroke-induced brain damage is possible. The purpose the present study was to investigate whether administration in vivo would potentiate ischemic injury. Methods—Adult CD-1 mice were pretreated saline. Each animal later anesthetized chloral hydrate placed stereotaxic frame. A subset animals received intracerebral glial cell line–derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF). right middle cerebral artery bilateral carotids transiently occluded for 45 minutes.
