摘要: An ion trap for mass spectrometric chemical analysis of ions is delineated. The includes a central electrode having an aperture; pair insulators, each aperture, end cap electrodes, first electronic signal source coupled to the electrode; second electrodes. electrode, and electrodes are united in sandwich construction where their respective apertures coaxially aligned symmetric about axis form partially enclosed cavity effective radius r0 length 2z0, wherein and/or z0 less than 1.0 mm, ratio z0/r0 greater 0.83.
