摘要: Summary Spatial management is used extensively in natural resource to address sustainability and biodiversity issues, for example through declaration of terrestrial National Parks marine protected areas (MPAs). Spatial also optimize yields or protect key parts the life cycle species that are utilized (hunted, farmed fished), rotational harvesting. To evaluate effectiveness spatial closures with conflicting fisheries conservation objectives, a series here analysed using an integrative modelling tool known as strategy evaluation (MSE). This framework combines food web model tropical ecosystem fished by prawn (shrimp) fishery emulates being managed, together present system risk-based tools fishing at maximum economic yield. A designed tested aim investigating trade-offs among (MPA), benthic impacts, function, risk fishing, objectives. Synthesis applications. This paper illustrates existing often available actively managed can be linked into effective framework. Spatial tended succeed respect their specific design objective, but this benefit did not necessarily flow other broad-scale objectives. demonstrates there no single which satisfies all suite needed.
