摘要: Purpose: To assess the local control and survival of excision postoperative radiation in patients with earlvstaee rectal cancer. Methods”and Materials: From 1980 to 1992,21 clinical stage Tl-2NxM0 adenocarcinoma middle lower rectum were treated transanal external beam radiotherans (44.6 Gy). The pathologic T stages were: 9 Tl (43%) 12 T2 (57%). One patient had unassessahle resection margins. median follow-up was 54 months (range: 18-128 months). Results: actuarial recurrence-free at 5 years 85.2%, overall 80.6%. developed a recurrence distant metastases 22 months, two 11 15 respectively; both ahdomino-perineal (APR) one remained free disease 16 after APR. incidence Grade 3 diarrhea 5%. Sphincter function good excellent 18 control. No evidence pelvic lymph node recurrence. Conclusion: These results are similar other published series suggest that this approach is feasible selected Tl-2NxMO cancer long-term disease. Rectal neoplasms, Radiotherapy, Local excision, Prognostic factors.
