摘要: OBJECTIVE There are no randomized studies of the two therapeutic alternatives (surgery or radiotherapy) for occult cervical carcinoma, and survival rates in absence residual cancer seem to be similar both. This article presents our experience with radical reoperation carcinoma. MATERIALS AND METHODS Eleven patients cancer, primary invasive tumor >/=0.5 cm =3.0 cm, free margins hysterectomy specimen, clinically evident were reoperated (radical parametrectomy partial colpectomy pelvic lymphadenectomy). RESULTS Histopathologic examination after showed evidence disease nine cases metastasis lymph nodes cases, one them parametrial involvement. Survival was 100% among disease-free on 0% (5-year follow-up). CONCLUSIONS Radical allows staging, sorting into risk groups, avoidance radiation therapy more than thirds
