摘要: Mixed ligand metal complexes of chloramphenicol and oxytetracycline were prepared by using Ni(II), Co(II) Fe(III) chloride hexahydrate. They characterized based on some physical technique spectroscopic analysis such as AAS, UV, IR spectroscopy. Based the analytical data, proposed to have formulae [ML1L2](Cl)n (where M = Co(II), Fe(III); L1 chloramphenicol, L2 n 2 - 3). spectra suggested that both coordinated ions in a terdentate manner with (O-H), (C=O) (N-H) donor sites each ligands. The be octahedral. synthesized complexes, compares their ligands, screened for antibacterial activity against isolated strains Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus Klebsiella pneumonia diffusion method. data showed more potent than parent drugs three species. Toxicology tests tissues albino rat (Rattus novergicuss) revealed toxicity compared drugs. Ni(II) complex was found possess no significant difference (P > 0.05) alkaline phosphatase from homogenates liver kidney serum. However, significantly increase
