摘要: Otitis media with effusion (OME) is common in children, although it can occur at any age. Allergies probably contribute to the development of OME, other major risk factors being bacterial infection and eustachian tube obstruction (ETO). We have demonstrated that patients allergic rhinitis often develop ETO when challenged allergens; therefore, could be a link between OME allergies. Nasal alleviated or attenuated by pretreatment intranasal corticosteroids. Therapy for complicated includes treatment ear antibiotics relief symptoms antiallergy medications, including antihistamines, cromolyn, corticosteroids, as well environmental control appropriate immunotherapy.
