摘要: Berries are generally considered beneficial to health. This health-promoting potential has mainly been ascribed berries' phytochemical and vitamin content, little attention paid the benefits of berries for digestive tract, despite this being first point contact. In vivo studies that described health effects on individual parts tract (ie, mouth, esophagus, stomach, small large intestine, microbiome, immune system) were reviewed. Immune included because a part system is located in intestine. Beneficial observed whole berry extracts, not components. These ranged from support microbiota reduction number size premalignant malignant lesions. results demonstrate potency suggest can serve as strong adjuvant established treatments or therapies variety gastrointestinal immune-related illnesses.
