摘要: Abstract 1. Prior to infection the phosphorus which eventually is incorporated into T4r bacteriophages assimilated from medium at rate of bacterial growth. Before being used for phage synthesis this must therefore have been part general constituents like nucleic acids. 2. Phosphorus before appears in all phages progeny but predominantly early finished particles. 3. Within one two minutes after assimilation increases by a factor about eight. Synthesis material thus seems start very shortly infection. 4. The average time spent atoms between and incorporation infective particles fourteen minutes. Early contain mixture just relatively late phosphorus. elapsing varies considerably. 5. Bacteria infected with probably continue produce an undiminished until least twenty Some will not enough be lysis.
