摘要: The genome of plant DNA viruses can be either single-stranded or double-stranded. Family Geminiviridae (Mayo and Pringle, 1998; geminiviruses) the proposed genus Nanovirus (Pringle, Nanoviruses) contain (ssDNA) while family Caulimoviridae 1998) contains double-stranded (dsDNA) genome. Geminiviruses are small with monopartite (one molecule) bipartite (two molecules) circular ssDNA genomes 2.5–3.0 kb encapsidated in twinned (geminate) particles 20 by 30 nm diameter (Harrison, 1985; Frischmuth Stanley, 1993). geminiviruses three genera Mastrevirus, Curtovirus, Begomovirus persistently transmitted insect vectors.
