摘要: Background: C-reactive protein (CRP) is a sensitive marker for inflammation in people and dogs. In people, an association between CRP concentration atherosclerosis has been reported. Atherosclerosis rare dogs, but the Miniature Schnauzer breed may be at increased risk developing this vascular disease. It not known if concentrations dogs differ from those other dog breeds. Objectives: Our objectives were to validate automated human assay measuring compare healthy with non-Miniature breeds. Methods: Sera 37 inflammatory disease pooled used immunoturbidimetric canine CRP. Blood was collected 20 41 of breeds. Median serum compared that dogs. Results: The measured reliably linearity 0 20 mg/L. (median 4.0 mg/L, minimum–maximum 0–18.2 mg/L) significantly higher than 0.1 mg/L, 0–10.7 mg/L); 17 had values overlapped dogs. Conclusions: slightly breeds A relationship idiopathic hyperlipidemia, pancreatitis, possible remains determined.
