摘要: Impedance cardiography (IC) is a reliable noninvasive technique for monitoring stroke volume (SV) and cardiac output. Transthoracic impedance (Zo) one variable in the equation used calculation of SV. Thoracic reflects resistivity offered by tissues air length cross-sectional area thoracic volume. The purpose this study was to evaluate possible differences Zo between men women. Measurements (Mean +/- S.D.) 29 (age 25.6 4.6 yr) 35 women (24.2 6.0 seated posture revealed values were significantly (p less than 0.05) greater (31.5 3.3 ohm) (23.5 1.84 ohm). observed cannot be attributed length; distances electrodes similar (25.1 cm) (25.7 cm). We hypothesize that due smaller resulting primarily from relatively more fat tissue, heart size, lesser central blood as compared with men.
