摘要: Routine vaccination is among the most effective clinical interventions to prevent diseases as it estimated save over 3 million lives every year. However, full potential of global immunization programs not realised because population coverage still suboptimal. This also due inadequate immune response and paucity informative correlates protection upon vulnerable individuals such newborns, preterm infants, pregnant women, elderly well those patients affected by chronic compromising medical conditions. In addition, these groups are undervaccinated for a number reasons, including lack awareness vaccine-preventable uncertainty or misconceptions about safety efficacy parents healthcare providers. The presence nonresponders/undervaccinated represents major health economic burden society, which will become particularly difficult address in settings with limited public resources. review describes innovative experimental approaches that can help identify specific genomic profiles defining nonresponder whom might be needed. We provide examples show how information useful novel biomarkers immunogenicity future vaccine trials. Finally, we discuss system biology "OMICs" data used design bioinformatic tools predict outcome providing genetic molecular "signatures" protective response. strategy may soon enable identification signatures highly predictive safety, immunogenicity, efficacy/protection thereby informing personalized populations.
