Extraoral and intraoral vertical subcondylar ramusosteotomy for correction of mandibular prognathism

摘要: Vertical subcondylar ramusosteotomy for correction of mandibular prognathism was performed in 203 cases with an extraoral (EVSO) and 55 intraoral (IVSO) approach. Clinical surgical observations were analyzed the 2 techniques compared regard to operation time, per- postoperative complications, morbidity patients duration hospital stay. The approach demonstrated significantly shorter less blood loss extent swelling, nausea vomiting also favour EVSO. Serious complications few, both considered as satisfactory safe.
