摘要: Abstract The kinetic data extracted from isenthalpic solidification experiments are critically reviewed. Question is raised concerning the justification for use of a thermal analysis which based on assumption isothermal dendrites. An alternate analytical procedure then applied considers non-isothermal effects resulting localized curvature and kinetics. No unique, linear, constant could be found conforming to any region experimental data, but noticeable convergence theory experiment observed in large undercooling. Our results appear confirm quantitative determination linear coefficient white phosphorus (P4) solidification, dispute previously reported conclusions observation transition operation maximum velocity criterion. Limitations latter general procedures obtaining information discussed.
