摘要: Abstract The triplex forming ability of oligonucleotides containing 2′- O -methyl-2-thiouridine (s 2 Um) and 2-thiothymidine T) was studied. UV melting experiments revealed that (TFOs) both s Um or T stabilized significantly parallel triplexes. main reason for stabilization triplexes due to the stacking effect 2-thiocarbonyl group. Moreover, it turned out these modified TFOs had a high selectivity in recognition matched Hoogsteen base from mismatched one.
