摘要: A random sample of 493 multiple sclerosis (MS) patients registered with the Northern California Chapter National MS Society was surveyed by mail and subsequently interviewed regard to their MS, life style, diet, medical treatment, family history, insurance coverage. Of this sample, 168 (34%) returned completed questionnaires. The answers on questionnaire were entered into a database scores extended disability status scale (EDSS), neurologic rating (NRS), ambulation index (AI), mean (MDS) determined from patient's portion using previously validated conversion program.
