摘要: Listeria monocytogenes is of great concern as a foodborne pathogen. Many ready-to-eat foods are widely contaminated with this organism and have caused listeriosis outbreaks sporadic cases in many countries. In Japan, there high incidence L. contamination, specifically raw seafood. Identical subtypes been isolated repeatedly from samples food manufactured at given store or processing plant, researchers suspected that certain isolates formed biofilms these sites. A microtiter plate biofilm formation assay was conducted, all seafood tested were able to form various degrees. Biofilm by lineage I significantly greater (P = 0.000) than II. However, clonal lineages different levels biofilms, indicating the ability affected positively negatively environmental factors.
