摘要: Large pure single crystals of n eicosane (C20H42) with [210] growth axes have been prepared by slow crystallizations from the melt. Internal‐friction measurements covering temperatures 100 to 300 K at ≃ 1 kHz reveal that in as‐grown both α and γ loss peaks characteristic polycrystalline alkanes less purity are absent, which we conclude that, polycrystals, these processes a result impurities and/or crystal defects. Two very weak maxima obscure origin were observed about 270 287 for all studies. In one progressive stages light cold work induced complex spectrum small between 200 K. These found be highly sensitive aging. We believe behavior provides evidence dislocation motion this type. No detectable peak resulted work. Data also included was irradiated rays.
