摘要: The early receptor potential (ERP) in the barnacle photoreceptor is shown by intracellular recording to exhibit a strong dependence on color of stimulus and preceding adaptation. adaptation effects appear be stable for at least 3 h dark. Most strikingly, ERP positive after red mainly negative blue simplest hypothesis which accounts these observations that two thermally pigment states with different absorption spectra contribute ERP. All responses consistent sums ratios ERP's pure states. relative populations are vary reciprocally, suggesting same closed cycle. Both have approximately Dartnall nomogram-shaped spectra, one peaked near 495 nm, other 532 nm.
