摘要: To achieve more efficient energy use, power electronics (PEs) may be employed. However, these introduce nonlinear loads (NLLs) into the system by generating undesired frequencies that are harmonic in relation to (multiples of) fundamental frequency (60 Hz Brazil). Consequently, devices using PEs but also contribute significantly degradation of quality. Besides this, both conventional rules on design and operation systems usual premises followed efficiency programs (without mentioning electricity consumed themselves) consider sinusoidal voltage current waveforms at fixed grid. Thus, analysis consumption reductions include use considers reduction kWh final consumer not additional losses caused increase distortion. This article contributes a better understanding this problem reporting results case study ownership television sets (TV sets) estimate economic impacts residential mainly distribution system.
