摘要: The natural radioactivity of 226Ra, 232Th and 40K the fallout 137Cs in soils granite rocks two regions Yemen (Shabwah Hadramout) were measured by using gamma-ray spectrometry (HPGe) detector. average values radionuclides soil samples are 14.34, 25.78 566.05 Bq/kg respectively. For rock samples, activity concentration for 45, 106 1235 Low under investigation, not radiologically important. radium equivalent (Raeq) external hazard index (Hex) all less than limits 370 Bq·kg-1 unity, total absorbed dose rate due to three primordial 46.5 nGy/h 138.36 nGy/h, respectively, where value is higher permitted limit. So, local people must avoid these as interior decorative materials dwelling without control.
