摘要: Abstract The natural radioactivity in Ma′an soil has been estimated order to complete the survey of environmental Jordan areas and evaluate radiological health hazard. Soils were collected from five main distributed sites. XRF spectrometry used specify chemical composition soils. Gross alpha gross beta activity measurements made using liquid scintillation counter (LSC) their mean activities 11.74 ± 5.90, 888.68 ± 76.16 Bq/kg, respectively. A high purity germanium detector was measure concentration gamma emitting radionuclides. specific 226 Ra, 238 U, 232 Th 40 K 57.7 ± 5.4, 44.9 ± 6.3, 18.1 ± 1.4, 138.1 ± 40.8 Bq/kg, absorbed dose rate air this study 37.15 ± 3.53 nGy/h annual effective equivalent 45.59 ± 4.33 μSv/y.
