Passive protection by human sera in mice against challenge with strains of group B streptococci

摘要: The passive protective activity of 100 human sera in mice challenged with strains group B streptococci (GBS), types Ia, Ib, Ic, II and III, was investigated. number which offered protection against type Ib were 10, 6 1, respectively, while 5 gave Ia Ic. 2-mercaptoethanol sensitive anti-human IgG, IgA IgM rabbit capable negating the activity. Furthermore, antigens removed activity, resulting reduction amounts normal serum. These findings suggest that is related to specific immunoglobulins GBS.
