Friction and wear behaviour of Al2O3/TiB2/SiCw ceramic composites at temperatures up to 800°C

摘要: Abstract In this paper, Al 2 O 3 /TiB /SiC w ceramic composites with different volume fraction of SiC whisker were produced, their friction and wear behaviour sliding against cemented carbide at temperatures up to 800°C in air nitrogen atmospheres has been studied. The coefficient rates examined relation content. Results showed that the composition, temperature atmosphere have an important effect on behaviours. decreased increasing content both atmospheres. mechanism less than 400°C was primary abrasive wear, higher resistance under these circumstances corresponded value hardness fracture toughness. mechanisms oxidative dominated when atmosphere, while owing adhesion diffusion suggested be main atmosphere.
