摘要: To characterize the dengue epidemic that recently occurred in Malaysia, we sequenced cDNAs from nine 1993-1994 virus type-3 (DEN-3) isolates Malaysia (DEN-3 was most common type during this period). Nucleic acid sequences (720 nucleotides length) isolates, encompassing precursor of membrane protein (preM) and (M) genes part envelope (E) gene were aligned with various reference DEN-3 to generate a neighbor-joining phylogenetic tree. According constructed tree, Malaysian grouped into subtype II, which comprises Thai 1962 1987. Five earlier 1974 1981 belonged I. The present data indicate recent due introduction viruses previously endemic Thailand.
